services ranging from help desk support to network and general troubleshooting.
System Engineers will perform break / fix assignments, preventive maintenance, 
and project assignments. This position requires primarily local on-site support but
may occasionally include remote support. Each engineer will be measured and
compensated through metrics designed to maximize client satisfaction, profitability,
employee growth and compliance.

2. Sr. Applications Developer
 
For our client, a Vancouver based mobile technology company, we are looking
for a Senior Applications Developer. This is a senior position with duties ranging 
from data modeling and system architecture, to hands-on coding, mentoring, and 
debugging.

Your responsibilities will include providing work estimates, participating in and/or
leading the design effort, mentoring junior engineers, developing code modules, 
unit and integration testing. You would review new and old code for errors, 
security hazards, performance implications, and maintainability. You will develop
and maintain DirectShow filters and other media applications for video pre-processing,
compression and post-processing on Windows.

You are creative, have strong problem solving ability, good verbal and written
communications skills, experience with consumer software applications.
You have a minimum of +7 years of C/C++ development experience coupled with 
exceptional design skills under a Windows development environment. Your in-depth
understanding and hands-on experience with embedded systems enable you
develop highly portable applications. You have multi-threaded design and 
development experience, understanding of video and audio encoding concepts,
and basic knowledge of networking and media streaming.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Mentor junior engineers on best practices and software development lifecycle
• Establish reference model requirements, performance goals, and project milestones
• Create modular, well organized and properly documented designs
• Develop test and evaluate procedures for validation of overall system performance 
and modeling accuracy
• Produce and maintain highly accurate documentation and code archives
• Follow up on bug reports and resolve problems
Required Skills, Knowledge/Experience, and Abilities:
• DirectShow Filters development experience is required. Windows GDI, 
OpenGL/Direct3D driver experience is helpful
• In depth and project proven understanding of digital video processing systems
• Fluent in C/C++/C#, COM/ATL, and multi-threaded programming
• Experience developing for the Windows platform using Microsoft VisualStudio
2005/2008
• Intensive project experience with embedded architectures and Unix/Linux 
development environment
• Experience with Video and Audio formats (MPEG, H.264, AAC)
• Good understanding of .NET, ActiveX, is desired
• Experience with Video Streaming and transport stream format is an asset
• Must be methodical, detail oriented, have a thorough approach to problem 
solving, have excellent communication skills, and have a team-oriented work ethic

Education:
BS Degree coupled with minimum +7 years of Product Development experience
or +5 years with MS degree, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or
Computer Science.

3. Aerospace Engineer (Fixed Wing Avionics) 2yrs’ Experience

General Responsibilities:

The Engineering Department supports many internal and external modification and 
repair design requests by creating the appropriate data as necessary. 
The qualified individual will be responsible for:

• Designing avionics modifications
• Liaising with appropriate departments and organizations for resolution of issues
pertaining to design data interpretation and design deviations
• The successful candidate will also be familiar with regulatory authorities’
procedures and processes for the approval of any design deviations generated.

Specific Accountability:

• Develop design documents for demonstrating compliance to the appropriate 
regulations
• Liaise with Transport Canada for design approval.
• To develop functional tests which ensure proper maintenance of equipment
• To aid in troubleshooting aircraft systems
• To manage resources to achieve assigned project goals

Qualifications:

• Completion of a degree from a recognized secondary institution in the relevant 
aerospace engineering discipline (required)
• Minimum of two years working experience (fixed wing avionics) (Less than 2yrs
will not be considered)
• Flexibility to work extra hours when required
• Able to work independently in an office environment
• Computer experience necessary (CAD experience an asset)
• Previous Transport Canada delegation would be considered an asset

4. Electrical Engineer
 
Our client is in need of an Electrical Engineer; this position will be responsible 
for research, develop, design, and tests electrical sub-assemblies by performing the
following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


•Design, develop and test electronic control, signal processing, communications, or
application specific electronic assemblies.
•Work directly with customer to understand design specific requirements, 
develop project schedule/milestones and manage periodic and final design review signoff.
•Team with Product Engineer to support various customer design activities and solutions.
•Provide technical support to respective customers as a Product Engineer.
•Provide DFM and DFT feedback, address production related issues and manage
technical aspects of customer relationship.
•Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform
engineering tasks.
